K67 RESTORATION_POLAND & CHINA 2024

K67 is a modular kiosk designed in 1966 by Slovenian architect Saša J. Mächtig. Patented in 1967, it went into serial production in 1968 with its first prototypes shown in Slovenia. Made by the Imgrad factory in Ljutomer, K67’s modular design allows many layout combinations. The kiosks came in bright colors that faded nicely outdoors. In the 1990s, K67 kiosks were exported to nearby countries, including Poland, where they still work as small street shops selling daily goods, newspapers, bread, or currency exchange. K67 is known as a smart, prefabricated system that is timeless and very durable. In 2024, JANG studio worked with the +101 Chinese team to source, dismantle, pack, and transport three original K67 kiosks to China, where they were restored and adapted for new functions.
